Don't Believe A Word That I Haven't Heard

Assignment two for narrative class.
Figure I could use the class as a chance to do small scale experiments with storytelling and drawing style. Just a time to have fun for me.

The Voice That Cried On The Lonesome Tide

Designed a logo for myself. I had a rough version on my site for a while now, but I've had some adjustments made to it by Jill Dallas, and I must say, it looks leaps and bounds better than before.

You can see it in action here.

All The Voices Sound Just Like You

This was for an assignment in my Narrative Class. Had to create four panels that included either 'What's that supposed to mean?' or 'Are you alright?'
For my final I used characters from my thesis (the thesis project being the big project all fourth year illustrators at Sheridan work on for the year), and an assignment from another class I'm actually not in. Another professor told his students to work the theme of good and evil into one piece of their thesis, and if they couldn't do it, then it probably wasn't a very strong thesis to begin with. I thought it was worth trying out... So I got to kill two birds with one stone.

Also, I included my original rough/ thumbnail of the final and of my other two ideas below.

There's So Many Different Places To Call Home

Last post of my summer. Thought I'd share some choice snapshots of my road trip to the East Coast. Go here to see an amazing little music video Rachel Idzerda created of the adventure.
I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer and are ready for the Fall.

Descended A Dusty Gravel Ridge

Was working on a comic for fun earlier this summer, decided to open it at a different point, so these pages have been moved elsewhere. Did I draw three pages of someone skipping rocks on an alien planet? yes. Does it make more sense in context? probably. But what you going to do really?

Washing Off My Name

In The Ocean Washing Off My Name From Your Throat
I've been taking August fairly easy, Illustration wise. This is a small piece from an upcoming project. I'll continue to update this month, just unsure with what yet. Winging the last month of my summer.

Why in the Night Sky are the Lights Hung?

This is an Echo of the Pacific Blues. Where that piece was about feeling lost in this world, this one is more about being found.
