Sure That They're Being Watched

Came across this in my sketchbook last night - I had pulled out my sketchbook briefly during one class while bored, sketched some people who were in my line of sight.
Doing some cleaning, organizing my room, I'd say for the new year, but mostly just because I had the time on my hand. I don't know if I'll have anything else posted by the end of the year, but I'll try to get something up.

Disappeared From Public Places. Never Seen Again

Posted too soon when I shared the album cover for a fake band. I tweaked it before I finally handed it in. So here is the final cover along with the rest of the CD case for my graphic design class. Overall, I'm pleased with how it turned out.
These images are how you would see the CD case and interior pages when you lay it out, rather than how I had to print them to assemble the book. Also, the pull quotes are from, respectively, Oscar Wilde's last words, Louis CK, and an episode of Community.
'Well Come' was inspired by the Prisoner, the original series.

You Can Watch Me Corrode Like a Beast in Repose

Cheeseburger Footprint Poster done for my Info class. This was done in a couple hours... Arranging it at least. The information was easily found, the images took a little time to draw. Nothing as time consuming or polished as my last info assignment, but sometimes you just have to phone it in.

I Arrived With No Shoes

What I should have handed in as
'The Perfectionist'

I was bored today, putting off homework, finished watching The Inbetweeners (very funny) so I thought I'd actually get around to colouring this drawing in.

Heaven is Only in my Head

The Celestial Bodies.

Handed in an assignment, didn't much care for how it turned out. So I worked on it a little more, just tweaking a few things here and there. This is now the final piece.

Tired Eyes

The image from yesterday is part of the background in this piece, but it's completely lost by the copy. So that's awesome, but I can't complain because I designed it after all.

Your Feathers Are Tattered and Furled

Because you can't see it well enough in my final piece.
Which isn't actually done yet...

What We Invented I Am Now Ending

Handed in this piece of Zeus and Atlas for an interpretive illustration assignment; OVERheard/ UNDERstood. Well I handed in - for all intents and purposes - an unfinished piece.
This is the finished one.

An intentionally misunderstood conversation, mine was;
- So you broke it and now it's my fault?
- No, I'm just saying if you couldn't fix it, I deserve some sort of compensation.

A play on the word 'fault' and someone who feels they might deserve 'compensation' for their time.

Hope That I Don't See You Anymore

While I was at work today, decided to finish this little project that was long overdue. I drew these nine pages near the beginning of the summer, but never got around to colouring the last three pages.
The concept is one story, but told in three genres at three stages of completion.

Blue Updated

Not 100% happy with the final result yesterday, so I went back in and fixed it more to my liking.

Watch It All Burn Away

Grapevine Fires

How my little experiment came to be; little by little, with many, many changes along the way.
The first incarnation was a couple picnic..ing on a hill with the girl dancing in the distance. The fire took up the whole sky, but that changed early on into the plumes of smoke, which I literally dreamed of, I saw that smoke in a dream.

I Was Alone So I Set A Fire, And Wasted It All On You

Last night I preferred the version with the light spots, but today, I don't know, I'm liking the one without more so.
Rather than pick between the two, since I'm not using this for anything anyway, I decided to post both.

I Descended a Dusty Gravel Ridge

Who knew having a new puppy would take so much time and energy?
Not I.

So it's basically been a month since my last post, and I've pretty much finished a little painting, there's just some final touches I need to take care of before I upload it. It was something I worked on intermittently back when I was doing the drawing a day, but it was being held up by the daily drawing and the fact I did very little preplanning for it (and was under the hope that it would just come together on its own, which it didn't).
So I kept repainting it at the beginning, and then in the middle after I stopped the daily drawings I painted lazily, then I bought the puppy, and I've only worked on it about 5 minutes at a time since then, being too tired to do much more than that.

I'll post it within the week. So yay for that, but I won't have time for another project I wanted to get to. On the bright side, I'll have a lot more time to plot it out so I don't end up in the same existential mess.

On to other matters...
My Puppy's name is Bixby, he's 5 months old Monday, and he's a Goldendoodle. He's well tempered, quiet, follows me everywhere, is smart-ish, which is to say quick to learn but not above doing dumb things such as chasing his own tail.
I'm pleased, tired, and broke, but sometimes you just have to do what you want with your life, and worry about the consequences as they come.
